SALES/Account Management

  • Partner with the Sales/Account Management team to drive vendor projects designed to grow sales and improve the guest experience

  • Learn the product life cycle including brainstorming initial concepts, product development, in-store placement, and back-end support

  • Be exposed to Mass Retail through various projects to ensure Target can maximize sales of identified promotions and programs


CATEGORY MANAGEMENT

  • Partner with Cat Man team to understand the process of how they support Target buyers to help drive Category Growth

  • Be exposed to all aspects of category management and strategic category planning including building and managing planogram versions using the ProSpace software application, performing category and product analyses based on Target sales data and market data, generating weekly reports and analyzing sales performance to provide actionable insights, and using analytical tools to drive Target’s transition process.


CREATIVE

  • Work closely with Creative Services team  to gain experience translating trend knowledge into actionable, insight-driven, retail design projects

  • Get exposure to work across all facets of our Creative Services team including creative strategy, marketplace and trend research, merchandising and design, product innovation, and brand experience

  • Experience how we inspire product development, assortment planning, and in-store experience by creating trend boards supported by consumer and marketplace research.


BUSINESS INSIGHTS

  • Work with the Business Insights team to understand the Business Insights process and how they support our clients to drive their brand growth

  • Support out Business Insights team and learn how to identify meaningful business drivers, relevant to Target and the Vendor, present insights along with actionable takeaways and delve into the details to expose opportunities otherwise gone unseen

  • Hands-on experience working with different analytical projects that will be delivered to clients during the internship


CONSUMER RESEARCH

  • Learn how JLB provides best in class consumer research that drives strategic decision making for clients in a fast-paced team environment

  • Learn when to use various qualitative & quantitative research techniques and how to best design a study that meets the clients’ needs

  • Hands-on experience working with different research projects that will be delivered to clients during the internship
